Fideach - 2024

I was back today, at the Fideach. I could not cross the water, because the tide was high. You came with me one day, after you had left. Today, the sun shone, but the wind was chilly. The sands glistened above the waters. I saw the markers for the ford, but they were deep in water.

I walked round, and the sun faded behind clouds. The wind blew more coldly now as I passed your final resting place. The daffodils were smiling manfully at me, not quite opening into the cold. As I passed through the gate, I glanced back. A little glimpse of yellow was visible, still. A smile among the gravestones.

Were you there?
